Kimberly Kay Anderson of Lake City, IA, passed away on February 5th, 2025, at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA surrounded by family.  Kimberly was born on November 18, 1957, to parents Daryl and Dorothy Bean.  She grew up in Lake City where she attended grade school and later graduated from West View High School with the class of 1976.

On July 30, 1976, Kimberly was united to Ricke Anderson.  This union was blessed with five children: Brittanie, Dallas, Abigail, Andrea, and Heather.  Together they raised their family in Lake City where Kimberly worked for over 20 years in the dietary and housekeeping departments at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital.  She made many lifelong friends through her job at the hospital.  Kimberly was also a church Elder, on the church council, and a part of the WOW "Women of Woodlawn" group.  In her free time, Kimberly enjoyed baking, collecting, and sewing.  Most of all, she cherished her time spent with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 48 years Ricke Anderson of Lake City, IA; children: Brittanie (Jamison) Steig of Lake City, IA, Dallas (Ashley) Anderson of Lohrville, IA, Abigail (Marlyn) Purdie of Sac City, IA, Andrea (Adam) Plagman of Lake City, IA, and Heather (Wade) Anderson of Ankeny, IA; 14 grandchildren: Payton, Sayer, Bryan, and Halas Steig, Brooklynn, Trevynn, Trinity, and Brady Anderson, Bailey and Cody (Desiree) Kent, Gavin and Erika Plagman, Mason, and Caden Eivins; two great-grandchildren on the way; parents Daryl and Dorothy Bean of Lake City, IA; siblings: Kevin (Joanne) Bean of Lake City, IA, Kayla (Todd) Riesberg of Dawson, IA; sister-in-law Ronna (Mike) McNeil; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents Harold (Hap) and Mildred (Millie) Bean and Frank and Mary Hamilton; in-laws Ronald (Andy) and Ida (LaVon) Anderson; two infant nieces; one infant nephew and nephew Braden Hicks.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at the Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City. A Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at the Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City.
