Larry Bruggeman, age 78 of Lake City, IA, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Accura HealthCare in Lake City.  Larry Dean was born on November 5, 1946, to parents Elmer and Pearl (Rabb) Bruggeman.  He grew up in Lake City, where he attended Central School.

Larry worked many years for Duffy Sanitation and was a hired hand for farmers.  He enjoyed working in his garden and going cycling.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son James Bruggeman of Des Moines, IA; siblings: Linda (Bill) McCrea of Lake City, IA, and Shirley Pickens of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law Gail Bruggeman; and brother-in-law Gary Horning.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Junior Bruggeman and Janet Horning, as well as his brother-in-law Frank Pickens.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Lampe and Powers Funeral Home with a visitation 1 hour before the service.
