Linda A. Carlsen – age 74, of Pocahontas, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the Pleasant View Home in Albert City, Iowa.

Linda Ann Carlsen was born October 13, 1946 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She was the daughter of Axel Jr. and Artis (Hendersen) Carlsen. Linda graduated from Havelock High School in 1964. She attended and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in education. She went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa where she earned a degree in Education Administration. She earned her masters degree in Library Science from Drake University. Linda lived in eastern Iowa where she taught grade school and was a principal. Linda married Mike MaCrae. She also worked as a school librarian. She moved to Pocahontas in the early 2000's.

Linda loved her dogs and loved to travel. She traveled to Europe twice. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her siblings, Nancy Storck of Houston, TX, Steve (Charlotte) Carlsen of Havelock, Al (Linda) Carlsen of Storm Lake and Sue Hobmeier of Humboldt; six nephews and one niece. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Axel Jr. and Artis, and her husband, Mike MaCrae.
