Linda Sue Koenig, age 68, of Waukee, formerly of Laurens, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center, Iowa.

Linda Sue Koenig was born February 13, 1956, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was the daughter of James and Ruth (Ennis) Koenig. Linda was raised in Laurens and graduated from the Laurens High School in 1974. She continued her education at the American Institute of Business in Des Moines where she became a Junior Accountant. Later on, she accomplished her Bachelor of Accounting from Graceland University. Linda was an accountant her entire professional career, having worked for Risk Insurance and lately Farm Bureau. She lived in West Des Moines for a time, before settling in Waukee. Linda retired in the mid-2010s due to her health.

Linda enjoyed quilting, reading, bingo, jeopardy, and was known for her knowledge of trivia facts. She had fond memories of her childhood on Rabbit Gulch in Laurens.

Survivors include her brothers, John (Theresa) Koenig of Clarion, Frank Koenig of Iowa City and David Koenig of Pomeroy; sister, Mary (Randy) Walker of Kansas, and a niece and nephew.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Koenig; niece, Alyson Walker, and brother-in-law, Gary Westfall.
