Lisa Jolynn DeSart, age 54 of Lanesboro, IA, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in her home. Lisa was born on July 15, 1968, to parents Richard and Wanda (Vigil) DeSart in Lake City, IA. She grew up on a farm outside of Lanesboro and later moved to Loveland, CO. She was baptized at the 198 First Baptist Church in Loveland and graduated from Thompson Valley Highschool with the class of 1986.

On September 15, 2006, Lisa was united in marriage to Mark Montes in Carson City, NV. They were blessed with four children: Joshua, Ruthie, Gracie, and Jackson. Mark and Lisa were together for 36 years. Lisa worked in customer service, which included occupations such as a waitress, maid, and bartender, among others. She loved dancing and singing (the wrong words) to her favorite songs. She always enjoyed having a drink by the river with her friends in the summertime. Lisa cherished her time with her family and her children will always remember her pulling the mattress out to the living room for a lazy movie day with her family. She will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Mark Montes of Lanesboro, IA; children: Ruthie Montes of Lanesboro, IA, Gracie Montes of Ames, IA, and Jackson Montes of Lanesboro, IA; sisters: Monica (Timmy) Johnson of Milliken, CO, and April (Mike) Sondgeroth of Lake City; mother-in-law Dolores Montes of Imlay, NV; sister-in-law Davie Compton of Porter, TX; brothers-in-law: Steven (Teresa) Montes of Imlay, NV, and Russell (Tammie) Montes of Lovelock, NV, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her son Joshua, parents Richard and Wanda DeSart, father-in-law Mike Montes, grandparents Pete and Helen DeSart and Lupe and Wanda Vigil, and brother-in-law Jim Compton.
