Lisa Findley, age 58 of Lake City, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, IA.  Lisa Annette was born on October 12, 1966, to parents Roger and Marilyn (Estes) Poppen in Sibley, IA.  She grew up on her family's farm near Sibley, where she attended grade school and later graduated from Sibley High School.  Lisa continued her education at SDSU, where she received her Bachelor's degree, and then received her Master's degree at USD in Occupational Therapy.
After graduating from SDSU, Lisa went to Washington, DC to work as a nanny. She then returned to Worthington, MN and worked at a Head Start program. After receiving her Master's, Lisa worked as an Occupational Therapist at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital for 27 years, retiring in April of 2025. During that time, she assisted Opportunity Living with her skills in Occupational Therapy. June 24, 2000, Lisa was united in marriage to Larry Findley at the Sibley Presbyterian Church.  With this marriage, she gained three children: Eric, Callie, and Keagan.
Lisa was involved in her church, Lake City Union Church, where she held positions as the treasurer and an elder.  She was also a member of Deborah's Circle and Bell Choir.  She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, cats, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.  Lisa was one to never complain, always kept a positive attitude throughout her entire life, and always had a smile on her face.  She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 25 years, Larry Findley of Glidden, IA; children: Callie Garrels of Boone, IA, Keagan (Caitlyn) Findley of Blairsburg, IA; grandchildren: Aubree and Araya Garrels, Forrest and Everley Findley; mother Marilyn Poppen of Sibley, IA; siblings: DyAnn (Tom) Schmiedt of Papillion, NE, Dennis (Michelle) Poppen of Sibley, IA, Amy (Ivan) Kuennen of West Des Moines, IA.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Roger Poppen, her father-in-law, David Findley, and her son Eric Findley.

The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Lake City Union Church, with the Burial at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, Iowa. The Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City, Iowa.
