Lori L. Maassen – age 60, of Rolfe, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Lori Lea Maassen was born July 18, 1960, at Spirit Lake, Iowa. She was the daughter of Donald and Irene (Otto) Maassen. Lori graduated from the Rolfe High School in 1978. She went on Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge and then Northwestern College in Orange City, earning degrees in phlebotomy and library science. Lori worked as a nurse aid in several care centers before working as a medical technician at a doctor's office in Humboldt and then in Jackson, MN. She then worked at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville for several years. She then worked as an aid for several years, before returning to Rolfe in 2011.

Lori was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rolfe. In Estherville, she assisted with a Sunday School Program. Lori enjoyed reading, baking and crafting. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her brothers, Kevin (Rhonda) Maassen of Spencer and Keith (Charlotte) Maassen of Spencer; sister, Lisa Howland of Rolfe and many nieces and nephews. Lori was preceded in death by her parents.
