Lorraine E. Baedke - age 98, of Laurens, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Lorraine Elsie Baedke was born September 4, 1923 near Pomeroy, Iowa. She was the daughter of Walter and Katherine (Bangert) Baedke. She graduated from Havelock High School in 1942. Lorraine lived on the family farm near Havelock with her sister, Alice, until 1963, when they moved to Laurens. Lorraine worked at the Laurens Care Center for 37 years. In 2016, she moved to the Laurens Care Center.

Lorraine was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Pocahontas, where she was active in the church circle and bible study. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and needle work.

Survivors include her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carolyn Baedke, Eula Stover and Alice Baedke; brother, Walter Baedke and several nieces and nephews.
