Marian A. Aden, age 96, of Altoona, formerly of Palmer and Pocahontas, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at her home in Altoona, Iowa.

Marian Albertha Siebels was born on May 2, 1929, near Palmer, Iowa. She was the daughter of George and Marie (Krie) Siebels. Marian was baptized on June 2, 1929 and confirmed on April 18, 1943 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Palmer. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1946. On June 26, 1949, Marian was united in marriage to Herman Aden in Palmer, Iowa. The couple lived on the farm for several years before moving. Marian worked at the Palmer State Bank. In 1963, they settled in Jewell where they raised their family and Marian worked as clerk in Paul's Super Value and then as town clerk for many years. In 1983, they returned to Palmer and Marian worked as Palmer Town Clerk. Herman passed away in 1995, and the following years, Marian moved to Pocahontas.  In 2011, she moved to Pleasant Hill and since 2022, she has lived at Prairie Vista in Altoona.

Marian was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Palmer. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed quilting and playing cards. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Steven (Diane) Aden of Chapin, SC and Sharon (Kelly Sullivan) Aden of Mill Spring, NC; son-in-law, Calvin Lundberg of Pleasant Hill; 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; son, Bruce Aden; daughter, Carol Lundberg; granddaughter, Mary, and siblings, Clara, Alice, Emma, Otto, Walter, Elsie and Herman "Bud".
