Michelle A. Dornath – age 49, of Gilmore City, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Michelle Ann Binger was born on February 11, 1972 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was the daughter of Roy and Joyce (Jenn) Binger. Michelle graduated from Humboldt High School in 1990 and went on to attend Iowa State University. She graduated from Buena Vista College in 1994 with a degree in Business. On June 19, 1993, Michelle was united in marriage to Jeff Dornath in Humboldt, Iowa. The couple settled on the Dornath Family Farm where they lived their entire married life. Michelle worked as a homemaker, farm wife and as a part-time teller at banks in Humboldt and Gilmore City.

Michelle was a member of Faith Community Church and Pocahontas Music Boosters. She enjoyed scrap booking, following her kids' events and watching her favorite team, the Iowa State Cyclones.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff of Gilmore City; children, Emily Dornath of Madison, WI, Amanda Dornath of Ames, Heidi Dornath of Gilmore City and Luke Dornath of Gilmore City; mother, Joyce Fisher of Laurens; sister, Lori Petersen of Bozeman, MT and brothers, Frank (Cheryl) Binger of Bozeman, MT and John (Kim) Binger of Westminster, CO. Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Roy Binger and step-father, Ray Fisher.
