Mona R. Bailey, age 80, of Pocahontas, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at home in Pocahontas, Iowa. No services are planned at this time.

Mona Rae Bailey was born May 22, 1944, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was the daughter of Ethrid and Gertrude (Navarre) Bailey. Mona lived in several places throughout her life where she worked as a carpenter, security guard, offshore cook, and at gas stations where she was self-employed. In 2020, she moved to Pocahontas to live with her son. In her free time, Mona enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting.

Survivors include her son, Arlen (Jenni) Fosburgh of Pocahontas; daughter, Rene Fosburgh of Maryland; 14 grandchildren;13 great grandchildren, and 1 brother.

Mona was preceded in death by her father, mother and 3 sisters.
