Monica J. Kaminski – age 37, of Pocahontas, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at her home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Monica Joann Kaminski was born April 9, 1984 in Binghamton, New York. She was the daughter of James and Mary (Kelly) Kaminski. Monica attended schools in Texas until the family moved to Binghamton, New York, where she graduated from Chenango Valley Sr. High School in 2002. She continued her education for one year at SUNY Broome Community College, where she studied nursing. In 2008, Monica moved to Virginia with her partner, Joseph Walker. The couple lived there until 2013, when they moved to Pocahontas County, Iowa.

Monica loved her cats and helping stray animals. She had a great sense of humor, even in the most difficult times. She could make everyone laugh.

Survivors include her children, Ayden Kaminski, Cloey Walker, Teddy Walker and Adam Walker; fiancée, Joseph Walker of Pocahontas; father, James Kaminski of Virginia; siblings, Erik Kaminski (Lynette), David Kaminski (Farhiya), Jessica Barrett (Jory), Leslie Conklin (Jason), John Kaminski (Stephanie), Joshua Kaminski (Brooke), Daniel Kaminski, Sherene Donnelly (Bob), Michelle Padua and Gary Bakay, Jr.; grandparents, James and Mary Kelly; stepfather, Gary Bakay; special friend, Brandie and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, including greats.

Monica was preceded in death by her mother, Mary; grandparents, Stanley and Joann Kaminski; uncle, Adam Kelly and godparents, Chris and Joan Ealy.
