Nancy Geier, age 87, of Auburn, IA, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Odebolt Specialty Care in Odebolt, IA.  Nancy Lee Ann was born on July 8, 1936, to parents Joseph and Ruth (Conrad) Schwabe in Carroll, IA. She grew up in Breda, IA, where she attended grade school and then graduated from St. Bernard Catholic High School with the class of 1954.

On May 8, 1956, Nancy was united in marriage to Orville Geier.  This union was blessed with three children: Vicki, Rob, and Sandra.  They made their home in Auburn, IA, where Nancy worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Breda Vet Clinic for many years.  Nancy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Mary's Church Choir.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, and crocheting.  Most of all, Nancy cherished her time with her family and attending all of her grandchildren's activities.  She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Vicki (Mike) Schroeder of Odebolt, IA, and Sandra (Al) Clarke of Ames, IA; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Donna Hoelscher, Jim (Kris) Schwabe, Jean Schultz, and Joe Schwabe; sisters-in-law Marg Schwabe, and Sheri Schwabe.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Orville, son Rob Geier, parents Joe and Ruth Schwabe, brothers Richard and Jerry Schwabe, brothers-in-law Byron Schultz, Richard Hoelscher, Eldon Geier, and sister-in-law Amanda Olsen.
