Norma G. Peterson, age 80, of Rolfe, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Norma Gene Owens was born July 6, 1942, in England, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Eugene and Florene (Evans) Owens. Norma graduated from high school in 1960. In 1963, Norma was united in marriage to Floyd "Pete" Peterson in California. The couple lived in Glendale and Hacienda, California until 1973, when they moved to an acreage near Fort Dodge. Norma worked in the parts department at Sears and then as a waitress at Sylvia's Restaurant in Fort Dodge. The couple later moved to Arkansas, where they lived for 14 years. While in Arkansas, Norma worked at a local school cafeteria. In the mid 1990's, Norma and Pete moved to Rolfe where Norma was a full time Mema.

Norma enjoyed meeting with the coffee girls and loved cooking, baking, sewing, attending Hillbilly Sales and collecting blue glass. She especially loved her grandchildren and time spent with them.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd "Pete" of Rolfe; daughter, Terry Williams of Rolfe; grandchildren, Jamie Upton of Sioux Falls, SD, Anthony Cartee of Emmetsburg, Philip Cartee of Belmond, NormaGene Hogan of Sioux City, William Williams of LuVerne and Krishna Williams of Rolfe; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Annadelle Gilmore and Pat Owens, and a brother, Bill Owens.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Eugenia, 1 great-granddaughter and several siblings.
