Norman Bauer, age 76 of Rockwell City, IA, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospital.   Norman Ronald was born on October 21, 1947, to parents Albert and Johanna (Gerdes) Bauer in Lake City, IA.  He grew up in Auburn, IA, where he attended grade school and graduated from Lake View Auburn High School.  After graduation, Norman enlisted to serve his country in the United States Army.

On April 6, 1974, Norman was united in marriage to Vivian Lea Laird in Beaconsfield, IA.  This union was blessed with two children: Mark and Kelly.  They raised their family together Norman worked as a construction worker and then worked at Electrolux in Webster City for 20 years until his retirement in 2010.  Norman was a hard worker and took pride in providing for his family.  He was caring, loving, and a family man and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years Vivian Bauer of Rockwell City, IA; children: Mark Bauer of Dayton, IA, and Kelly Bauer of Kalona, IA; sister: Linda; in-laws: Sandra (Raymon) Whitson, and Vickie (Denzel) King.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents.
