Patricia B. Cejka, age 89, of Laurens, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Fonda Specialty Care in Fonda, Iowa.

Patricia Belle Wilbur was born March 17, 1934 to John and Grace (McKiernan) Wilbur. She was united in marriage to Robert Ray Cejka Jr on April 26,1952 at the Ware United Methodist Church.  Together they lived on a farm 1 mile South of Ware, IA. This union was blessed with five children, Carol, Barbara, Linda, Diane, and Robert. She was a busy homemaker, taking care of the children, and she was a member of the PTA, school lunch program, and WENEDA Club, but always made time to make Robby pancakes every morning for breakfast. In 1975, they sold their farm and moved to Hillsboro, Oregon and ran the Coast-to-Coast store. After her husband Robert's death, she moved back to Laurens, Iowa in 1984 and lived at 103 East Garfield where she spent her time with her garden growing vegetables that she loved to give away to friends, neighbors, and anyone that wanted or needed them. She also enjoyed garage sales on the weekend. She loved her family, her grandchildren, and had many friends. She loved to help at the First Christian Church and the Laurens United Methodist Church volunteering when needed. In January, she took a fall and could no longer care for her home and herself.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a daughter Barbara; her mother and father, John and Grace Wilbur; a sister, Audrey Dahnke, and a brother Alva Wilbur.  Left to mourn her is a sister Eileen Davis; 3 daughters, Carol (Marvin) Hanna of Naples, FL, formerly of Laurens, Linda (Jerry) Korrect of Cottontown, TN, Diane (Tom) Tuski of Forest Grove, OR, and a son, Robert Cejka of Laurens;  8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews will miss her.
