Paul F. Spear - age 67, of Plover, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at his home near Plover, Iowa.
Paul Franklin Spear was born January 2, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of Earl and Mildred (Peterson) Spear. Paul graduated from Palmer High School in 1970 and went on to graduate from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. On February 12, 1977, Paul married Marjorie Lumsden at the Hope United Methodist Church in Pocahontas, Iowa. The couple settled on the farm north of Plover, where they farmed for 42 years.
Paul was a member of the ICAAP and the Hope United Methodist Church. He enjoyed tractor pulls, bowling, playing cards, puzzles and visiting with the boys.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of Plover; children, Mike (Nicole) Spear of Blue Earth, MN and Jeannie (Tony) McKinney of Fort Dodge; four grandchildren, Brooke, Ethan, Noah Spear and Haley Wood and brothers, Richard (Carol) Spear and Craig (Pam) Spear. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Spear.
