Rebecca L. Hansen – age 19, of Pocahontas, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, near Pocahontas, Iowa.

Rebecca "Becca" Lynn Hansen was born on January 5, 2001, at Lake City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Kenny and Angie (Solt) Hansen. During high school, Becca worked at the Home Plate Grill in Pocahontas. She especially enjoyed working with Linda Houston, known as her "Poky Grandma". She babysat in Pocahontas for many years and liked babysitting for everyone, especially the Sawyer and O'berg children, who she watched most often. She was very active during high school, participating in mock trial, Trendsetters, flag team, cheerleading, band, vocal, Swing Show, Jazz band, student council, 4-H, FFA and was the 2018 Pocahontas County Fair Queen. When she was young, she danced for many years at Melinda's School of Dance. From 2018 – 2019, Becca participated in competitive cheerleading with the United All Stars in Fort Dodge. She loved to dance, cheer and spend time with her friends. She graduated from Pocahontas Area High School in 2019. Becca was currently studying nursing at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge and also working as a Nurse Aide at Pleasant View Home in Albert City, Iowa. Becca jokingly nicknamed her Dad "Grandma" – which he still gets called to this day. She loved to support her sister Emma in all of her events and to antagonize her.

Survivors include her parents, Kenny and Angie; sister, Emma Hansen of Pocahontas; grandparents, Roger (Kathy) Solt of Fort Dodge, Lee Hansen of Pocahontas and Loujean O'Brien of Mallard; aunts, Kim (Mike) Gehrt of Mallard, Kelley Ferguson of Spirit Lake, Jamie Solt of Des Moines and Amy Lady of St. Cloud, MN; uncle, Jason Hough of Fort Dodge; many cousins and boyfriend, Hunter McCarville of Fort Dodge.
