Robert L. Norman, age 54, of Plover, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at his home near Plover, Iowa. No services are planned at this time.

Robert Lewis Norman was born on December 14, 1970, in Brainerd, Minnesota. He was the son of Everett and Sylvia (Simmons) Norman. He graduated from Mankato West High School. He later attended welding trade school in Emmetsburg. Rob lived in Rockford, IL where he worked as a custodian and then as a chef. In 1996, he moved to Spirit Lake. He worked as manager of the American Classic Restaurant in Spencer. On May 22, 2010, Rob was united in marriage to Gail Stewart in Spencer. In 2013, they moved to Laurens. Rob worked as a chef at Home Plate in Pocahontas. He worked as a welder at Brand FX and then as a CNC operator at Fischer Hydraulics in Laurens. In 2019, they moved to their home near Plover.

Rob was a great cook and baker and he enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and volunteering to make food for Veterans. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Gail, of Plover; children, Robert Miller, Kyla Anderson, Elizabeth Miller, Brianna Miller, Jake Norman, Rebecca Hoeppner, Lillie (Landon Hohensee) Norman and Blake Norman; his mother, Sylvia Norman; siblings, Ron, Susan, Kenny and Barry and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by his father, Everett.
