Robert Jon Weber, age 49, of Manson, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 18, 2023, near Palmer, Iowa.

Bob was born November 4, 1973, in Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of Jon Raymond and Mary Lavonne (Dodd) Weber. Bob was baptized on December 9, 1973, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rolfe. He and his family lived in Rolfe until he was 3 years old, when they moved to the Weber family farm near Palmer. Bob was confirmed on April 30, 1989, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Palmer, on behalf of St. John Lutheran Church near Palmer. He graduated from Pomeroy-Palmer High School in 1993. After graduation, he attended NIACC in Mason City, Iowa, where he worked at HyVee. Bob began working at the Fort Dodge Labs in Fort Dodge, Iowa on February 16, 1998, where he was currently employed as an Animal Care Specialist.

Bob loved animals so this was a perfect job for him. His favorite pets included a dog named Chevy, a cat named Penny and a horse named B.J.

Bob had many friends that loved him, and he was always there to help make their life easier.

He is survived by his parents, Jon and Mary Weber of Palmer, and an older sister, Laura of Arlington, TX. He is also survived by the love of his life, Karla Rasmussen of Humboldt. During this last school year, Karla had two foreign exchanged students, Sophie Fedi of Rome, Italy and Elli Oberbeck of Lubbecke, Germany. Bob adopted these girls as his own. Karla and Bob were parents to them for a short time, but they made a life-time relationship. He is also survived by several cousins that he enjoyed all his life.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Eldora Weber, and Harold and Lavonne Dodd.
