Ronald Wilbur Lumsden passed away suddenly on June 23rd at 74 years old. He was on his way home to Tennessee from his annual fishing trip in Canada. Ron loved to golf as often as he could. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, loved entertaining his friends and his family, spending time with his beloved wife Diana, and his dog Rylee. Ron was truly loved by everyone who met him.

Ron graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1968. On June 5, 1971 he married his best friend Diana Burgess. He then received his engineering degree from General Motors Institute in 1973 and received his master's degree in business administration in 1987 from Eastern Michigan University.

Ron worked as a plant manager in the automotive industry for more than 20 years, living in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and Missouri.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Lumsden, his son, Christopher Todd Lumsden, his father, Wilbur Lumsden, brothers-in-law, Paul Spear and Donnie Burgess, his mother-in-law, Kate Burgess, and his father-in- law, Gene Burgess.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Diana Lumsden, his son, Brent (Kate) Lumsden, his siblings: Marilyn (Neil) Batchelor, Marge Spear, Tom (Kathy) Lumsden, Mark (Jes) Lumsden, and Maichelle Winters, his grandchildren: Kai Lunden, Ezra Lunden, and Branden Lumsden, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank their friends, neighbors and everyone who has reached out during this difficult time. They would also like to thank the doctors and nurses of Great River Health for doing everything medically possible to take care of Ron during his last day.

Ron will be GREATLY missed by all who knew him. He was always selfless and would do anything for anyone. He loved life, his family and his friends. Although he may no longer be on earth, his laughter and his sense of humor will forever be engrained in anyone who knew him. His candid humor and his famous one-liners will forever be with us.

We love you Ron, and we will cherish the time we were blessed to share with you during our time on this earth.
