Rosemarie "Fuzzy" Mell, age 87, of Pocahontas, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Rosemarie Anne Bollard was born on April 8, 1938, in Pocahontas, Iowa. She was the daughter of Richard and Frances (Collins) Bollard. She was raised in Pocahontas and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1956. On October 4, 1958, Fuzzy was united in marriage to Robert Mell in Honolulu, HI. Following Bob's discharge from the U.S. Army, the couple returned to Pocahontas. Fuzzy worked for Scott Jewelry and then Farm and Home. In 1976, Fuzzy and Bob began operating Bob's Bar in Pocahontas. Bob passed away in March of 1999. Fuzzy continued to operate the bar until 2003 when she sold it to her son, Gary.

Fuzzy was a member of the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing and working puzzles.

Survivors include her sons, Gary (Laurie) Mell of Pocahontas and John Mell of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Jenifer (Rory) Kuper of Hampton and Steve (Antoinette) Mell of Vancouver, WA; 8 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Kaiser; sister-in-law, Jody Bollard and many nieces and nephews.

Fuzzy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brothers, Dick (Lucy), Harry, Tom (Dar), Larry (Betty) and Dan (Jane) and sisters, Carol (Harry) Levene and Katy (Bruce) Bauer.
