Rosemary Royse, age 95, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Pocahontas, Iowa, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rosemary Miller was born on November 16, 1927, in Pocahontas, Iowa. She was the daughter of Alfred and Eileen (Ennis) Miller. Rosie graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1945 and went on to attend Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. On August 27, 1949, Rosie was united in marriage to Dean Royse at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple settled in Pocahontas in 1954. In 1973, they moved to Denver, CO and in 1976 they moved to McCook, NE. In the summer of 1979, they returned to Pocahontas. Dean passed away in September of 2007 and Rosie continued to make her home in Pocahontas. In 2009, Rosie moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to be near family.

In Pocahontas, Rosie was a member of the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, Catholic Ladies Society, and the C. D. of A. In Lincoln, Rosie was a member of North American Martyrs Catholic Church. Rosie enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Steve (Virginia) Royse of Mason City, IA, Mike (Ruth Ann) Royse of Lincoln, NE, Joan (Tim) Garity of Lincoln, NE, Julie Jackson of Lincoln, NE, Jeanine (Steve) Ellenwood of Harlan, IA, Bill (Roberta) Royse of Des Moines, IA, Lisa (John) Gammel of Big Lake, MN, Sue (Chris) Root of Lincoln, NE and Mark (Karen) Menke of Brandon, SD, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean; brother, Bill Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Roy Menke and son-in-law, Jim Jackson.
