Rosi Jackson, age 70, of Laurens, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Rosemarie Drexel was born May 5, 1953 in Gessertshausen, Germany. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rosalia (Fuchs) Drexel. Rosi completed beautician school in Augsburg, Germany in the early 1970s. On July 4, 1986, Rosi was united in marriage to Steven Jackson in Augsburg, Germany. While in Germany, Rosi worked as a beautician, housekeeper and homemaker. In 1995, the couple moved to Laurens. Rosi worked at Kepa Manufacturing and Fischer Hydraulics until 2000, when she began work at Good Samaritan Care Center in Laurens. She retired in 2020 due to health reasons.

Rosi enjoyed spending time outside, fishing, car rides, needle work, cutting hair and visiting with people. She loved her dogs, children and spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Jackson of Laurens; children, Mario (Melanie) Drexel, Marcus (Claudia) Drexel and Pierre Minard, all of Germany; Jon (Anita) Jackson of Estherville and Amanda Jackson of Emmetsburg; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 sister and 8 brothers.

Rosi was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Merle Jackson and sister-in-law, Kathy Meister.
