Roxanne R. Boer – age 43, of Pocahontas, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 15, 2022, at her home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Roxanne Rachel Rock was born January 26, 1979, in Centerville, Iowa. She was the daughter of Nancy (Ervin) Heald. Roxanne completed her GED, then continued her education at Iowa Lake Community College in Emmetsburg, where she earned her Registered Nurse certification in 2016. She worked as an RN at various care centers in Iowa and was currently employed at the Pocahontas Manor Care Center.

Roxanne loved her cats and dogs. She enjoyed traveling, camping and swimming in her free time.

Survivors include her son, Gabe Boer of Spencer; daughter, Erika Boer of Pocahontas; special friends, Pat Duran of Pocahontas and Angel Rock of Norwalk; brother, John Rock of Ottumwa, and nieces and nephews, Isaac and Aiden Rock, Kasandra Hughes, Michael Owings Jr., Haley Cardwell and Connie Counts.

Roxanne was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Heald.
