Russell "Spike" Guy Dumdei, 72, was born February 21, 1949 in Lake City, Iowa to Arthur and Donnabelle Anne Dumdei and passed away, Friday, November 19, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Spike served in the United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring and becoming a bookkeeper. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family bowling and working on puzzles. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Mary (Kock) and Fred Dumdei; maternal grandparents, Bertha (Snelson) and Guy De Sart; daughter, Heather Dumdei; and son, Thomas Guy Dumdei.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Janis Dumdei; sons, Anthony Dumdei and Todd Dumdei; grandson, Austin; granddaughters, Kia and Heaven; great-granddaughter, Lily; sisters, Rhonda Hanks and husband, Dennis and Roxie Fergason and husband, Kevin; and numerous other relatives and friends.
