Sandra Wooden, age 71 of Lanesboro, IA, entered into eternal rest with the Lord, on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Thomas Rest Haven Nursing Home in Coon Rapids, IA.  Sandra Kay was born on January 15, 1952, in Boone, IA, to parents John and Betty Debner. She attended grade school at Lake View Auburn and later moved and graduated from Alexandra, MN high school in 1970.  After graduation, Sandra continued her education at Wayne State College in NE and later attended Iowa Central Community College.

On September 9, 1975, Sandra was united in marriage to Michael James Wooden in Watertown, SD.  This union was blessed with two boys, Matthew and Michael.  Sandra stayed home and raised her boys.  She later took a job as a teacher's assistant for a few years, and then a bank teller, and did bookkeeping for family businesses.  Sandra was a master gardener and loved her flowers and spending time in her garden.  She was also an Al-Anon member and took great pride in being involved within that community.

Sandra was the type of person to help most anyone and to throw 100% into what she was doing.  She was a kind, generous, and thoughtful person.  Sandra was honest and you could always see her humor and spirit in her expressions when you were talking to her.  Most of all, Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  Her presence was unmatched and she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Matthew (Rachel Novak) Wooden of Longville, MN, and Michael Wooden of Longville, MN; grandchildren: Tyler, Steven, Alex, and Zach; siblings: John (Cheryl) Debner, Steven (Virginia) Debner, and Denny (Claudia) Debner.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents John and Better Debner.
