Sharon K. Fridolfson – age 82, of Georgia, formerly of Rolfe, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Georgia.

Sharon Kay Reefer was born November 24, 1939 in Algona, Iowa. She was the daughter of Chris and Gladys (O'Rourke) Reefer. Sharon graduated from Algona High School in 1958. On February 1, 1959, Sharon was united in marriage to R. Thomas Fridolfson in Algona. The couple lived in Rolfe where Sharon worked at the Nursing Home for 27 years as an Aid and then as Activity Director. Thomas died in January of 1980 and Sharon continued to make her home in Rolfe. In 2002, Sharon retired and moved to Woodbine, Georgia.

Sharon was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Red Hats. She enjoyed crafts, reading in her free time and loved to cook and bake, where she exchanged and tried new recipes with her sisters. She especially loved visiting and spending time with all generations of family.

Survivors include her children; DeeDee Fridolfson of Woodbine, GA, Todd Fridolfson of Woodbine, GA, Wayne (Kelly) Fridolfson of Statesville, NC and Mark Fridolfson of Rolfe; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria (Ronnie) Brown of Sioux Rapids and Cindy (Gary) Axdahl of Linn Grove and brother, James (Nova) Reefer of Algona.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; sons, Steven and Rocky Fridolfson and infant son, Timothy.
