Steven C. Hanson - age 68, of Pocahontas, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at his home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Steven Craig Hanson was born July 12, 1952 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of Ray and Kay (Peachy) Hanson. Steve attended the Fort Dodge High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. In 1976, Steve was united in marriage to Lisa Bedford in Missouri. Steve worked as a truck driver in his early years and then for the city of Fort Dodge in the sanitation department, where he worked for many years. After retiring from the city of Fort Dodge, Steve worked as a bus driver for DART.

Steve was a member of the VFW. In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars.

Survivors include his children, Oly (Lynda) Hanson of Fort Dodge, Jeremy (Heather) Hanson of Manson, Ricky (Jennifer) Hanson of Fort Dodge and Jessica Hanson of Hampton; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, Ron Hanson of Inman, SC.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Sherri and a sister, Sheryl Brown.
