A PUBLIC COME AND GO VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, JULY 31, 2020,  FROM 1 TO 3 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME IN POCAHONTAS.

A PRIVATE GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY AT THE CALVARY CEMETERY IN POCAHONTAS WITH FATHER CRAIG COLLISON OFFICIATING.

On March 9, 1955, God made a farmer and on July 29, 2020, God called that farmer home.

Steven William Schott was the son of Bill and Lois (Olson) Schott.   He attended Pocahontas Catholic School followed by Pocahontas Community High School graduating in 1973.

Steve's calling was farming the land he loved and caring for dairy cattle.

Steve was a gentle, serious soul who was content with the simple things in life. He was known for keeping impeccable farm records without the aid of a computer.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his farming brother, Kenny (Kristal) Schott of Pocahontas and sisters, Barb (Dave) DeWall of Pocahontas and Colleen (Chuck) McEvoy of Emmetsburg. Steve treasured the times spent with his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed sitting outdoors with his farm cat, Reds

Preceding Steve in death are his parents; brother, Dennis Schott and two nephews.
