Sue Reese, age 75, of Laurens, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at her home in Laurens, Iowa.

Patricia Sue White was born on February 11, 1948, in Laurens, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lowell and Phyllis (Cox) White. Sue graduated from the Pocahontas High School in 1967. On October 7, 1967, Sue was united in marriage to Charles Reese at Hope United Methodist Church in Pocahontas, Iowa. The couple settled in Laurens where Sue was a homemaker for a time. She later worked as a CNA at the Laurens Care Center, babysat, worked at Goldstar, then in central sterilization at the Spencer Hospital. She retired in 2013. Charles passed away in 2013 and Sue continued to make her home in Laurens.

Sue was a member of the Laurens United Methodist Church, UMW, church funeral committee, Meals on Wheels, church bazaar and card club. Her hobbies included cross stitching, reading, enjoying coffee with friends and spending time with her grandchildren. Sue always enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to read on the fishing boat while Charles fished.

Survivors include her children, Corey Reese of Fort Dodge, Eric Reese of Fort Dodge and Erica Reese of Laurens; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Tami (Lars) Tendal of Laurens; brother, Jeff (Cindy) White of Manning; step-brother, Don (Sue) Aschenbrenner of Laurens, and step-sisters, Carolyn (Charlie) Sandvig of Fort Dodge and Alice (Dan) Watson of Cedar Rapids.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles.
