Tammy Howland-McGruder, age 54, of Rolfe, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at her home in Rolfe, Iowa.

Tammy Jean Howland was born on October 6, 1970, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of Jerry and Earla (Meier) Howland. Tammy was raised in Rolfe and graduated from Rolfe High School in 1989. Following graduation, she completed a degree in Radiology from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. Tammy lived in various places throughout her life, including Des Moines and Garden City, Kansas. Throughout that time, she worked as a Radiology Tech. Tammy eventually settled in Rolfe.

Tammy loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed road trips, visiting casinos, attending concerts, and talking everyone's ears off. Tammy was a very compassionate and caring person who always tried her best to help out everyone around her, even when life presented her with her own challenges.

Survivors include her son, Jeremiah Howland of Des Moines; daughter, Jacey Braunschweig of Laurens; her beloved fur-baby, Velvet, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Howland and Earla (Buster) O'Neill, and her brother, David Howland.
