Terry H. Brisbois, age 72 of Pocahontas, Iowa passed away Saturday December 13, 2025, at UnityPoint Health—Allen Hospital Cardiovascular Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

Terence Henry Brisbois was born in Lake City, Iowa on November 11, 1953, to Henry and Bernice (Clark) Brisbois. When only a few weeks old, he was baptized in the Christian faith at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, in Lake City, Iowa. In June 1967, Terry confirmed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City, Iowa.

Terry attended Lake City Public School.  He grew up on the family farm just one mile east of Yetter, Iowa, ("everything's better in Yetter") where he, along with his brothers and sisters, enjoyed playing games in the front yard, throwing a ball over the house roof, racing around the outside of the house, making tunnels in the hay loft to crawl through, and of course, helping with the chores and field work, especially pulling weeds in the bean field.

The Brisbois family moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa in 1968. Terry attended Missouri Valley High School, graduating in 1972.  Following graduation, Terry and his twin brother, Tim, both attended Iowa Western Community College, Council Bluffs Iowa, where Terry earned an associate in electronics. Terry then faithfully worked for several years in the family business as a mechanic. Terry met and married Donna Boughey on Oct. 12, 1991, and with her built a life in Omaha, working in various occupations. In July 2010, when Donna encountered serious health problems, they moved to Pocahontas, Iowa.  Donna passed away March 1, 2011.

Terry met Cheryl (Van Horn) Karim in 2011, while taking walks in Pocahontas.  A year later they married, building together a life of mutual support and comfortable togetherness for the past 13 years.  They both worked in their chosen vocations and enjoyed vacations over the years.  Most recently they traveled to New Mexico, enjoying each other's company. Terry has always endeavored to be a good worker, providing the best he could for his spouse.

Terry was preceded in death by his sister; Marsha Kay Brisbois, his parents, Henry and Bernice Brisbois, his first wife, Donna Brisbois, and brother Ricky Robert Brisbois.

Survivors include his wife Cheryl Brisbois of Pocahontas, Iowa, brother Gary Brisbois and wife Kathy of Honey Creek, Iowa, his sister Judy Osweiler and husband Rodney of Norfolk, Nebraska, brother Tim Brisbois and wife Ruth of Beatrice, Nebraska, step-son, Mahmoud Karim, 4 nieces and 4 nephews, and several cousins and friends.
