Terry Ray Hendricks, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at The Gardens in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Born on September 3, 1936, in Rockwell City, Iowa, Terry was the son of Wilbur Jacob and Katherine Jeanette (Knapp) Hendricks. A proud "Iowa farm boy," he graduated from Lohrville High School in 1955 and immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his four years of service, which included two years stationed in Japan, he earned an honorable discharge from Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia.

It was in Georgia that Terry met the love of his life, Geraldine (Gerry) Kay Edmondson, at a dance. They were married on August 2, 1958, and eventually returned to Lohrville, Iowa. Together, they established Terry's Conoco gas station and raised their two daughters. Terry's professional career was marked by his dedication to the agricultural community, serving as a grain elevator manager, a branch manager for Arco Chemical Company, and concluding a long tenure with Farm Service/Growmark as a Regional Petroleum Sales Manager.

Terry was a man of simple pleasures and great pride. He cherished annual fishing trips to Minnesota with family and friends and was immensely proud of his military service and his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Lea (Andy) Davidson of Cape Coral, Florida, and Annette (Tracy) Sankot of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Clarke Davidson, Adam (Kelsi) Sankot, Aric (Kelly) Sankot, and Jenna Crinzi; and his great-grandchildren, Alden Sankot and William Crinzi. He also leaves behind his sisters, Linda Hanes and Vicki (Roger) Christensen, and his brother-in-law, Gary Hammar. Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gerry; his parents; and his sister, Rita Hammar.

Funeral service will be 12:00 pm Monday, Jan 5, 2026, at the Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City. Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Lampe and Powers Funeral Home. Military Graveside Rites and Burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockwell City, Iowa.
