Thomas D. Benge – age 72, of Rolfe, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Pocahontas Manor in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Thomas Dwayne Benge was born November 20, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was adopted by Dwayne and Lillie (Underberg) Benge, where he grew up on a farm north of Bradgate. Tom graduated form Gilmore City – Bradgate High School in 1967. He then attended Iowa Central Community College where he earned a degree in Ag Business. On April 7, 1972, Tom was united in marriage to Sharon Davis in Spring Valley, MN. Tom began driving truck in 1969, then in 1985 he entered the toy business. He continued to travel the country between the two businesses. He retired in 2003. Tom then began mowing lawns until 2017.

Tom was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lions Club, and the Rolfe Pullers. In his free time, Tom enjoyed working on farm toys and playing cribbage. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; son, Jason Benge of Rolfe; daughter, Erica Benge of Storm Lake; grandchildren, Xavier and Payton; 3 brothers, 3 sisters, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
