Timothy M. Ahlrichs, age 69, of Pocahontas, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Fonda Specialty Care in Fonda, Iowa. A private memorial service will be held at Powers Funeral Home in Pocahontas.

Timothy Mark Ahlrichs was born November 2, 1954, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of Robert and Doris (Schoon) Ahlrichs. Tim graduated from the Pocahontas High School in 1973. In 1974, Tim was united in marriage to Barbara Spencer at the Methodist Church in Rolfe, Iowa. The couple settled in the Pocahontas area. Since high school, Tim worked with his father, and later his brother, in the cabinet business, which he did with skill and enjoyment his whole life until his retirement in 2017.

Tim was a member of the Palmer Gun Club. He enjoyed spending time on the acreage, talking with friends at Dynos in Pocahontas, trapshooting, hunting and fine woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Barb, of Pocahontas; children, Greg (Laura) Ahlrichs of Havelock, Wendy Ahlrichs of Spencer and Ron (Lacey) Ahlrichs of Pocahontas; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Charlie (Pam) Ahlrichs of Pocahontas, Susan (David) Halbolm of West Des Moines and Mike (Olivia) Ahlrichs of Des Moines, and a brother-in-law, Bruce Spencer.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, London Ahlrichs.
