Tim Kelso, age 53 of Lake City, IA, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Unitypoint Health Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.  Timothy Ray Kelso was born on April 4, 1969, to parents Wilson and Donna (Ludwig) Kelso in Chariton, IA.   He grew up in Carroll, IA, where he attended elementary school and graduated from Carroll High School.

On October 22, 1988, Tim was united in marriage to Tracey Huisinga.  This union was blessed with three children: Jessica, Amanda, and Courtney.  He raised his family in the Lake City area where he was a welder for CMI.  Tim also worked for Scranton Manufacturing, Toynes, and was a carpenter for Western Iowa Homes.  In his free time, Tim enjoyed watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys.  He liked being outside and going fishing and building things.  Tim was a very artistic person and had a lot of talents.  Most of all, Tim loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.  He will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 years Tracey Kelso of Lake City, IA; children: Amanda (DJ) Poss of Plover, IA, Courtney (Joe) Navarro of Lake City, IA; mother Donna Kelso of Carroll, IA; In-laws Georgia (Joe) Wiederin of Lake City, IA, Philip (Debbie) Huisinga of Denison, IA; grandchildren: Emily, Kylie, JR, Bentley, Mady, Skylar, Cooper, Hunter, and Jaxson; siblings Karl (Jean) Kelso of Carroll, IA; in-laws: Bob Huisinga of Lake City, IA, Jesse (Katie) Huisinga of Ute, IA, Christina (Philip) Dammann of Denison, IA, Christina (Brett) Foster of Ames, IA, Nicole (Kevin) Soyer of Glidden, IA, Chad (Laura) Wiederin of Lake City, IA; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Pickering, father Wilson, granddaughter Mariah Pickering, and grandparents.
