Tina M. Wheatley – age 56, of Pocahontas, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at her home near Pocahontas, Iowa.

Tina Marie Christopher was born on April 9, 1963, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lyle and Donna (Shimon) Christopher. Tina graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1981. On January 15, 1983, Tina married Steve Wheatley in Pocahontas. The couple lived near Pocahontas for several years before moving into town. In 1996, they moved to an acreage near Palmer. In 2015, they moved to their current home north of Pocahontas. Tina worked at various jobs including the Big Red Restaurant, Flower shop, Powhatan Travel and operated a Wood Craft Business for many years. She also raised yorkie puppies.

Tina enjoyed redoing projects, gardening and helping her kids with fixer-uppers. She especially enjoyed spending time at Lost Island Lake and loved the time spent with her kids and grandkids.

Tina is survived by her husband, Steve of Pocahontas; children, Brandon (Teresa) of Laurens, Joshua (Kalyn) of Tiffin, IA, Jordan of Pocahontas, Brent (Haley) of Palmer and daughter, Jenna (Cody) Ricklefs of Humboldt; 8 grandchildren; mother, Donna (Jerry) Halder of Pocahontas; sisters, Brenda (Chris) Lindgren of Adel, Laurie (Mike) Ayers of Pocahontas, Sonya (Bill) Burtnett of Ankeny and Angee (Brian) Koehler of Blaine, MN; brother, Rodney (LuAnn) Christopher of Humboldt and many nieces & nephews.

Tina was preceded in death by her father and infant sister, Jodie Lynn Christopher.
