Tony G. Bunda – age 74, of Pocahontas, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his home near Pocahontas, Iowa.

Anthony "Tony" Gene Bunda was born on February 1, 1949, in Laurens, Iowa. He was the son of Wesley Sr. and Clarice (Reis) Bunda. He attended Pocahontas Catholic Grade School and went on to graduate from Pocahontas High School in 1967. On February 14, 1969, Tony was united in marriage to Sharon Weiland at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pocahontas. The couple made their home in Pocahontas County where he was a lifetime farmer. In 1993, they settled on the Bunda home place near Pocahontas. Tony also worked as a machinist for Iowa Industrial Hydraulics and Allied Precision in Pocahontas. He drove truck for Hakes, Scrivner and Fleming Foods. In 2011, he retired from farming.

Tony was a member of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church. He enjoyed classic cars and fishing and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with family.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Pocahontas; sons, Daniel Bunda of Pocahontas and Sam (Allison Trott, fiancée) Bunda of Pocahontas; grandson, Jared Bunda of Des Moines and sister, Carlin (Ron) Osborn of Malcom, Iowa.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Bunda and Wesley Jr. "Bud" Bunda.
