Vera Evelyn Heide - age 96, of Pomeroy, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Laurens Care Center in Laurens, Iowa.

Vera Evelyn Hudson was born April 22, 1925 to Harold and Velva (Jordison) Hudson of Otho, Iowa. Vera graduated from Otho High School. She went on to graduate from Tobin Business School in Fort Dodge, Iowa. On September 12, 1948, Vera was united in marriage to Louis Heide. The couple settled on the family farm near Pomeroy where they raised their family and lived their entire lives.

Vera loved cooking, loved the farm life, and especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Louis; sons, Brian (Linda) Heide of Rockwell City and Gregg Heide of Pomeroy; grandchildren, Curtis Heide of Johnston, Sarah (Brett) Bailey of Ankeny; great-granddaughter, Heide Bailey; sister, Marilyn Peterson of Kansas City, MO and many nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark; in-laws, Don Peterson, Bob and Helen Everson, and Bob and Laura Andrews.
