Wayne K. Stoner, age 83, of Laurens, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at his home near Laurens, Iowa.

Wayne Kenneth Stoner was born October 16, 1940, in South Dakota. He was the eldest child of Kenneth and Elsie (Schumacher) Stoner. Wayne attended country school and the Laurens Community School, graduating in 1958. In 1961, Wayne married Dolores Lindvall. Together they had one son, John. He later married Marilyn Hersom. They later divorced. Wayne drove truck for over 35 years, mainly for Hakes Foods.

Wayne was a member of United Methodist Church in Laurens. He enjoyed music, gardening and photography in his free time.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Shyanne Siems and Matthew Valentine; siblings, Jim (Kay) Stoner of Loveland, CO, Donna (Gary) Comstock of Jackson, MN, Joan (Rick) Barber of Logansport, IN and Mary (Tom) Madsen of Laurens, and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elsie Stoner, and his son, John.
