David T. Koenig

David T. Koenig, age 67, of Laurens, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Pomeroy Care Center in Pomeroy, Iowa.

David Thomas Koenig was born on October 3, 1958, in Spencer, Iowa. He was the son of James and Ruth (Ennis) Koenig. He graduated from Laurens High School in 1977 and went on to attend Nebraska School of Business in Omaha where he earned a two year degree in Accounting. Following his education, Dave returned to Laurens where he worked at Leo's Skelly Station. He worked for Mefferd Industries for many years as a machinist. He then worked in Spencer as a telemarketer until his retirement.

David enjoyed fantasy sports leagues and visiting with people.

Survivors include his brothers, John (Theresa) Koenig of Clarion and Frank Koenig of Iowa City; sister, Mary (Randy) Walker of Delphos, Kansas, and a niece and nephew.

David was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Koenig; sister, Linda Koenig, and a niece, Alyson Walker.
