Ken Powers
Funeral Director
Ken is a native of Pocahontas. After graduating from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he began working in Des Moines at Dunn's Funeral Home. In 1990, he returned to Pocahontas to join his father in the family funeral business. Ken is married to Jill who also works at the funeral home. They have 5 children. Maria and her husband, Mick and their children, Brecken, Addie and Conrad, and Joey, Mitch, Sarah and Nick.

Mitch is a native of Pocahontas. Following graduation from the Pocahontas Area Community High School in 2017, he attended Iowa Central Community College and the University of Northern Iowa, earning an associate's degree. Mitch continued his education at Des Moines Area Community College, graduating from their Mortuary Science program in 2020. While in mortuary school, Mitch worked for Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale, Iowa as a mortuary student. Mitch returned to Pocahontas following graduation to complete his internship and work with his father in the family funeral business. He became a licensed funeral director in February of 2022.

Mitch is a native of Pocahontas. Dana Morris

Dana Morris, a resident of Lake City, IA graduated from Hawkeye Community College with an Associates Degree before continuing his education at Worsham College of Mortuary Science to obtain his mortuary degree in 2012. After graduation Dana started his apprenticeship in 2012, becoming a Licensed Funeral Director in November 2013. Dana is married to Kaitlin (Franken), and they have a 3 daughters Mila, Jovi and Nell.

Dana Morris, a resident of Lake City, IA graduated from Hawkeye Community College with an Associates Degree before continuing his education at Worsham College of Mortuary Science to obtain his mortuary degree in 2012.
